Another solid order from Armour

I've bought from Armour Bikes a few times now, usually for their titanium hardware. This time I picked up some Titanium Crank Bolts. Like before, the quality is consistent – good machining, strong, and light. Delivery took about the same time as my previous orders, roughly 10-12 days to the Midwest. It's why I keep coming back; I know what to expect and they deliver every time. Never had an issue with compatibility either.

Good deal on titanium bolts

I was looking for some new bolts and saw Armour Bikes had a titanium bolt kit bundle. It seemed like a good price compared to other places. I ended up getting the Titanium Hub Bolts and Titanium Stem Bolts. The discount was nice, saved me a few bucks. Definitely felt like I got a good value for the quality. Shipping was a bit slow, but for the price, it was worth the wait.

Detailed look at my order

I ordered some Oil Slick BMX Spokes and Oil Slick Nipples for a wheel build I was planning. The ordering process on their website was straightforward and I received an email confirmation almost instantly. Shipping took around two weeks to arrive in New York, which I expected since it's international. The parts themselves were packaged well, no damage. The oil slick finish looks really good, vibrant and consistent across all the spokes and nipples. They threaded onto my hub perfectly, no issues with fit. I haven't ridden them extensively yet, but the initial quality seems solid. Their FAQ mentioned compatibility, which was helpful before buying.

Got my flatland pegs

Just got the Flatland Pegs from Armour Bikes and they're pretty cool. I put them on my bike right away. They feel good and I like the knurled grip. Shipping took about 10 days to get to me in California, which isn't too bad considering it came from Ukraine. Overall, happy with the purchase, my bike looks better now.

Is it worth it to get the titanium bolt kit bundle or just buy individual pieces? Are the bundles actually a decent discount?

M Mark 2 months ago
Bundles usually save you a bit, yeah. I got a stem bolt kit and it was cheaper than buying each bolt separately for sure.

I think they usually do like 10-15% off on the bundles, so if you need a bunch of stuff it adds up. Check during Black Friday if you can wait, sometimes they do bigger sales then.

Hey, thinking about grabbing some of those oil slick spokes. Are they legit? Like, will the finish actually hold up or just chip off after a few rides?

O Omar 1 month ago
Yeah, I've had their oil slick hub bolts for months, ride almost daily, still look fresh. My buddy has the spokes and they seem fine too.

I heard the oil slick stuff from Armour Bikes is pretty solid. Haven't tried it myself but it's not like the cheap Amazon kind.

How do these flatland pegs compare to like, Vocal or TLC? Looking for something really grippy but not too heavy.

T Todd P. 1 month ago
Armour's flatland pegs are super popular with a lot of the riders I know. They have good knurling and are pretty lightweight if you go for the plastic ones with the sleeves.

I've ridden both Vocal and Armour pegs. Armour Bikes' pegs feel really solid, definitely comparable in quality, maybe even a bit lighter depending on the model. The knurled ones are grippy.

What's their return policy like? Accidentally ordered the wrong size bolts for my cranks. Can I send them back?

R Rosa 2 months ago
Yeah, I returned some pedals once because I got the wrong thread. Was pretty straightforward, just had to pay for shipping back to them I think. Might be a pain with international shipping though.

I haven't returned anything, but I remember seeing it on their site. As long as they're unused and in original packaging, it should be fine. Shoot them an email, they're usually responsive.

Anyone know if Armour Bikes ships to California? And how long does it usually take? Trying to get some parts before a comp next month.

K Kate 2 months ago
They definitely ship to the US, I'm in NorCal and got a package from them. Took about 2.5 weeks last time for some bolts. Might be tight for next month.

shipping can be a bit of a wait since they're coming from Ukraine, so plan for at least a couple weeks. I've had stuff show up in 10 days, but also 3 weeks.
